This 3 day 2 night trip will be heading to the nation's capital of Canada. Ottawa is beautiful in spring and at just under 6 hours drive it is closer to us then our own nation's capital. You'll find the city covered in tulips that were given by the dutch in exchange for harboring members of the royal Family during World War II. The city now boasts some 3 million tulips. Along with the tulips there will be many events taking place for the festival such as live music and performances, art galleries, farmers markets, hop on/hop off tours.

We'll be staying in the heart of the city at Fairmont's Chateau Laurier. This upscale hotel set in grand limestone overlooks the Rideau Canal and along with Parliament it's the most prominent feature in Ottawa's skyline (Third picture down of Rideau Canal has Parliament on the left & Chateau Laurier on the right). It's the ideal location being steps away from Parliament Hill and the National Gallery of Canada among many other attractions, dining and the trails.

For the people out there that take advantage of the rail trails here in Cheshire County this may be the trip for you. We have plenty of space for bikes under our motor coach as Ottawa is well known for bike trails. The Capital Pathways (walking & bike trails) is the preferred way to experience Ottawa and with over 372 miles (600km) of trails it is the best connection to the many parks and waterfalls in and around Ottawa.
